Muhamad Helmi Muhamad Khair is currently a Ph.D. student of Faculty of Law at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He earned his master’s degree (Intellectual Property Law) (Distinction) from Queen Mary, University of London UK, and his bachelor’s degree from the International Islamic University of Malaysia. His current research interests include copyright law, orphan works, and open innovation strategy. Helmi is also a law lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Mara, Malaysia.

Haswira Nor Mohamad Hashim graduated with PhD in Law from the Queensland University of Technology in 2012. His area of interest is in intellectual property and innovation with a special focus on open access, open data and open innovation. He was appointed as the Head, Intellectual Property at Research Innovation Business Unit (RIBU), Universiti Teknologi MARA in 2013. He also leads a group of researchers conducting research on open innovation model for unexploited intellectual property, funded by the research grant from the Ministry of Education.
