Self-esteem, neuroticism, dan celebrity worship pada remaja penggemar K-pop

Memiliki dan memuja idola merupakan hal normal pada masa perkembangan remaja. Namun, perilaku memuja idola yang berlebihan menjadi hal yang tidak wajar. Celebrity worship merujuk pada sebuah fenomena kontinum terkait kekaguman penggemar terhadap tokoh selebritis dari normal hingga psikopatologis. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship adalah self-esteem. Faktor lain yang mempengaruhi celebrity worship adalah kepribadian neuroticism. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara self-esteem, neuroticism dengan celebrity worship pada remaja penggemar K-pop. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah remaja penggemar K-pop yang tersebar di Indonesia. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini menggunakan teknik snowball sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 269 remaja penggemar K-pop berusia 12-15 tahun yang tersebar di Indonesia. Alat ukur yang digunakan terdiri dari tiga skala, yaitu skala celebrity worship, Rosenberg Self Esteem Scale (RSES), dan skala NEO PI-R (faktor neuroticism) yang didistribusikan secara online. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan perolehan nilai F=3,045 dengan sign p value=0,049 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara simultan terdapat pengaruh antara self-esteem, neuroticism dengan celebrity worship pada remaja penggemar K-pop.
