Focus and Scope

The JURNAL JPSD (Jurnal Pendidikan Sekolah Dasar) is an international journal that discusses teachers, teaching, and/or elementary school teacher education situated in an international perspective and context. This journal focuses on elementary school education, teacher preparation, teacher professional development, and/or elementary school teacher education. JPSD Journal (Jurnal Pendidikan Pendidikan Dasar) is a multidisciplinary journal committed to no single approach, discipline, methodology, or paradigm. This journal welcomes a variety of approaches (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods) to empirical research and also publishes high-quality systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Manuscripts should enhance, build on, and/or expand the boundaries of theory, research, and/or practice in primary school teacher teaching and education. JPSD Journal does not publish unsolicited Book Reviews.

The journal invites original, significant, and rigorous inquiry into all subjects within or across disciplines related to elementary teacher education. It encourages debate and cross-disciplinary exchange across a broad range of approaches. The spectrum of topics includes:

  • Elementary Education Studies
  • Elementary Education Curriculum
  • Teacher Professional Development

These topics are addressed in full-length academic articles, critical statements on current issues, and the developmental practice of primary school teacher education.

The journal presents an innovative platform for researchers, students, practitioners, and educators to learn from and contribute to the field. All articles are subject to initial Editor screening and then a rigorous double-blind peer-review process before publication.
