This research aimed to develop a mobile-based destination recommendation system in Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta, addressing the issue that tourists often face difficulties in finding relevant information about destinations and navigating to them, which requires the use of multiple applications, thus reducing the overall efficiency and convenience of their experience. The current system is inefficient, and there is a need for an integrated solution to improve tourist planning and ease of use. To solve this, a unified mobile application was developed that offers features such as destination recommendations based on user preferences, ticket purchasing, and real-time navigation integration within the same platform. The research was conducted using the Agile methodology, divided into stages of data acquisition, system analysis, system design, coding, and testing. This approach allowed iterative development with regular user feedback, ensuring that the system evolved according to user needs. The results show that the system recommends destinations based on proximity, category (such as nature, culture, and family-friendly destinations), and user preferences. It also simplifies ticket purchasing by allowing users to buy tickets directly through the app and integrates navigation to guide tourists seamlessly to their chosen destinations. The system includes a bug-reporting feature, enabling users to report issues, thereby facilitating ongoing improvements. Testing revealed that the system runs efficiently, offers accurate recommendations, and enhances the overall travel planning experience for users. In conclusion, this mobile-based recommendation system significantly improves the efficiency of tourist planning in Sleman Regency by providing an all-in-one platform for discovering, navigating, and purchasing tickets to local attractions, thus offering a practical solution to the existing challenges in the tourism sector.
