DESKRIPSI PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA FISIKA MELALUI MODEL PENEMUAN TERBIMBING DENGAN STRATEGI SELF-EXPLANATION PADA MATA KULIAH FISIKA ZAT PADAT

Telah dilakukan penelitian untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh model Penemuan Terbimbing dengan strategi selfexplanation terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain pre-eksperimen rancangan one-group pretest-posttest design. Subyek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Fisika FMIPA UM angkatan 2011/2012, yang menmpuh mata kuliah Fisika Zat Padat pada semester genap 2013/2014. Pengambilan data penelitian melalui Tes Prestasi Fisika Zat Padat, dan Angket Respon Mahasiswa terhadap Pembelajaran. Data tes dianalisis dengan menggunakan gain score ternormalisasi rata-rata kelas dan individual, dan data angket dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam pembelajaran bab Struktur Kristal dan Dinamika Kisi Kristal yang menggunakan model Penemuan Terbimbing dengan strategi selfexplanation mahasiswa (1) memiliki skor rata-rata prestasi belajar 62.79, (2) memiliki gain score ternormalisasi rata-rata kelas 0.578 (kategori medium), dan (3) memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran, yakni 63.57% setuju dan 32.62% sangat setuju.
