EFEKTIVITAS MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SEARCH, SOLVE, CREATE AND SHARE (SSCS) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS X MAN YOGYAKARTA I PADA MATERI ALAT-ALAT OPTIK

Telah dilakukan penelitian eksperimen untuk mengetahui perbedaan keterampilan berpikir kritis antara siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran Search, Solve, Create and Share (SSCS) dan siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran ekspositori, serta untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran SSCS untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi Alat-Alat Optik. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA MAN Yogyakarta I Tahun Ajaran 2014/2015. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik simple random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, dan instrumen berupa soal pretest dan posttest. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik parametrik berupa uji-t, normalized gain (N-gain) serta ukuran efek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan rata-rata skor posttest kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol menunjukkan nilai sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 lebih kecil dari taraf signifikansi 0,05, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran SSCS efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam materi Alat-Alat Optik. Cacah siswa yang lulus dengan nilai ≥ 65 sebanyak 23 siswa (85,19%) dan nilai N-gain kelas eksperimen (0,64) lebih besar dari nilai N-gain kelas kontrol (0,45), dan keduanya berada diklasifikasi sedang. Ukuran efek berada pada klasifikasi tinggi, yaitu sebesar 1,073.
