Focus and Scope

CHEMICA Jurnal Teknik Kimia, ISSN 2355-875X (print) 2355-8776 (online) is a journal that publishes manuscripts or scientific papers in Chemical Engineering. The scope of this journal covers chemical reaction techniques, separation, optimization, process control, process system engineering, waste treatment, food and material technology.

Peer Review Process

The submitted manuscript is first reviewed by an editor. It will be evaluated in the office, whether it is suitable for CHEMICA focus and scope or has a major methodological flaw and similiarity score by using iThenticate.

The manuscript will be sent to at least two anonymous reviewers (Single Blind Review). Reviewers' comments are then sent to the corresponding author for necessary actions and responses.

The suggested decision will be evaluated in an editorial board meeting. Afterwards, the editor will send the final decision to the corresponding author.

Open Access Policy

This journal is an open access journal which provides immediate, worldwide, barrier-free access to the full text of all published articles without charge readers or their institutions for access. Readers have right to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of all articles in CHEMICA: Jurnal Teknik Kimia. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.



This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

Publication Ethics

  1. The manuscript should contain complete, original information and objective data.
  2. The quoted sources and references cited in the manuscript should be listed.
  3. The manuscript should be written concisely and clearly.
  4. The manuscript has not been submitted or published earlier in any journal.
  5. Everyone involved in the research (students and supervisors) should be included in the author's team.
  6. An author who passed away should be included as co-author.
  7. Authors must avoid fabrication (make up data and research results).
  8. Authors must avoid falsification  (manipulation of materials, tools, processes, altering or discarding data intentionally).
  9. The manuscript should not use copied data from other articles without permission.
  10. All quotes or data obtained from previous research, involving the same authors associated with prior publications should be quoted correctly.
