Manfaat Penaksiran Parameter Dengan Metode EBLUP Pada Model Fay-Herriot Untuk Penelitian Konseling

Model Fay-Herriot merupakan salah satu kasus khusus dari model area level pada small area estimation (SAE). Penaksiran parameter pada model Fay-Herriot dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa metode, diantaranya metode Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (BLUP) dan metode Empirical Best Linear Unbiased Prediction (EBLUP). Makalah ini bertujuan untuk mencari taksiran parameter pada model Fay-Herriot dengan menggunakan metode EBLUP.Berbeda dengan metode BLUP, pada metode EBLUP variansi pengaruh acak small area diasumsikan tidak diketahui. Oleh karena itu, perlu dilakukan penaksiran terhadap variansi pengaruh acak small area. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk menaksir variansi pengaruh acak small area tersebut adalah metode Maximum Likelihood (ML).
