ANALISIS ARSITEKTUR CLIENT SERVER MENGGUNAKAN DATABASE TERPUSAT (Studi Kasus pada SMP Muhammadiyah Purwodadi Purworejo)

Abstract

Perkembangan dunia teknologi informasi dan komunikasi dengan jaringan komputer sangatlah cepat. Sekolah merupakan instansi yang turut serta akan perkembangan teknologi tersebut diantaranya berupa tuntutan pengguna terhadap layanan komunikasi baik internet, data serta informasi yang terbaru. Hal tersebut dapat dicapai dengan sistem jaringan yang tertata, namun permasalahan utama pada jaringan yang telah ada berupa pemanfaatan jaringan yang belum maksimal penggunaannya, maka diperlukan penelitian untuk mengetahui perbandingan antara jaringan sebelum dan jaringan setelah dioptimalisasi.

Subyek dalam penalitian ini adalah analisis arsitektur jaringan client server database terpusat terdapat berbagai macam tahap-tahap diantaranya adalah pengumpulan data meliputi studi literatur, observasi dan eksperimen. Sistem disusun dengan prosedur yang mencakup identifikasi masalah, analisis kebutuhan, merancang konsep, implementasi sistem selanjutnya ke tahap pengujian sistem untuk memperoleh hasil kelayakan sebuah arsitektur client server database terpusat.

Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa arsitektur client server menggunakan database terpusat dapat memaksimalkan penggunaan jaringan komputer di SMP Muhammadiyah Purwodadi, serta memudahkan penggelola jaringan dalam memantau terhadap aktifitas pengguna jaringan diinstansi sekolah tersebut.
