PERSEPSI DOSEN TERHADAP URGENSI BERBAGI PENGETAHUAN (KNOWLEDGE SHARING) DI PERGURUAN TINGGI
Abstract
Efektivitas berbagi pengetahuan merupakan perkara fundamental dalam organisasi. Berbagi pengetahuan tidak hanya dosen kepada mahasiswa tetapi juga kepada sesama kolega. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dosen dalam berbagi pengetahuan. Dosen sebagai salah satu sumber daya internal Perguruan Tinggi, selain memiliki pengetahuan yang bersifat objektif, rasional, dan teknis berupa data ataupun dokumen (explicit knowledge), juga memiliki pengetahuan yang bersifat subjektif, kognitif, berbasis pengalaman (tacit knowledge). Dua ranah pengetahuan ini merupakan aset penting dalam organisasi yang harus dikomunikasikan antar individu/organisasi. Hal ini dimaksud agar proses berbagi pengetahuan (knowledge sharing) berjalan baik untuk mendukung berbagai keputusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner online untuk mendapatkan data. Ada tujuh indikator untuk mengetahui persepsi dosen tentang berbagi pengetahuan, dan selanjutnya diekplorasi ke dalam 20 pernyataan. Skala likert digunakan untuk mengukur pernyataan tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini adalah dosen memiliki persepsi postif tehadap proses berbagi pengetahuan. Namun demikian dosen menjadi enggan berbagi pengetahuan ketika pengetahuan itu disalahgunakan dan dikomersialisasikan. Selain itu, model penyimpanan pengetahuan yang mudah dan terstruktur dipandang sebagai perkara penting dalam proses berbagi pengetahuan.
