Establishing the capacity of applying information technology in teaching history and geography for undergraduates of Department of Primary Education, Tay Nguyen University

Abstract


The competence to apply information technology in teaching history and geographyparticularly and in training broadly is one of the most important professional capacities ofteachers in primary schools to demand the new requirement of the fourth industrialrevolution and the real innovation of Vietnamese education. For that reason, thatproviding undergraduates of Department of Primary Education the competence ofexploiting information technology is suitable and necessary in the educational conditionof both Vietnam and over the world. This paper, therefore, focuses on some issues of theconcept of ability to apply IT, the necessity to establish this capacity for undergraduatesof Departments of Primary Education in teaching history and geography (via the casestudy of undergraduates in Tay Nguyen University) and proposals to improveundergraduates’ capacities effectively.
